Enseignant, il s’appliqua à transmettre ses acquis dans de nombreux aspects de la chimie-physique, de la chimie théorique au calcul d’incertitude, à tous niveaux, d’abord à l’étranger puis à l’Université de Caen.
Cornet lui confia l’un des tout premiers sujets de thèse sur les zéolithes, mêlant thermogravimétrie et spectroscopie.
Il mit ses connaissances et son exigence au service detravaux de recherche variés.
En particulier, il initia le développement de l’analyse thermique et de l’absorptiométrie au LCS.
