Advanced spectroscopies and operando characterizations for catalysis

The main aim of the SPECTROCAT symposium, organized under the auspices of the 18th ICC, is to bring together researchers involved in the spectroscopic characterization or microscopic imaging of catalytic systems.

It will be a unique occasion to present and discuss the latest developments and perspectives in advanced spectroscopies and microscopies for in situ and operando characterizations of catalysts under model conditions or in their operating state.

Topics covered by the symposium include recent or original instrumental developments, experimental designs and advanced data processing, as well as applications to case studies in heterogeneous or homogeneous catalysis.

The symposium will include plenary conferences, oral presentations and posters.

The location

The SPECTROCAT 2024 symposium will take place in the heart of the city, on the University’s Campus 1 in Building B.

Caen is ideally located on the map of Western Europe, just 2 hours from Paris (by train) and 2 hours from Lyon (by plane). Whether you choose to come by air, rail or road, Caen is well served by a network of public transport: buses, metros, taxis, hire cars and bicycles.

The University of Caen is well served by public transport: University stop by streetcar (T1 and T2) and bus (2, 4, 10, 10e, 12, 23).
