Find here the members of the laboratory, their functions, their teams and their main scientific profiles. This directory enables you to quickly identify the areas of expertise, professional contact details and useful links associated with each person: ORCID, HAL, Google Scholar, institutional page or professional networks.
The information presented is intended to facilitate internal exchanges, scientific collaboration and the promotion of the laboratory’s research activities.
Adsorption
Analysis method for porous materials based on measuring the amount of gas adsorbed on the surface of a solid as a function of pressure.
It is used to determine the specific surface area, pore volume, and pore size distribution. It is widely used to characterize catalysts, zeolites, oxides, activated carbons, and mesoporous materials.
The results depend in particular on the gas used, the sample degassing procedure, and the selected data treatment model, such as BET, BJH, or DFT.
Biomaterials
Materials designed to interact with biological systems for medical, analytical, or technological purposes.
They can be natural or synthetic and are used for implants, medical devices, tissue engineering, drug delivery, or bioactive interfaces.
Catalysis
Process that increases the rate of a chemical reaction using a catalyst, without the catalyst being consumed during the reaction.
It improves the efficiency, selectivity, and operating conditions of chemical transformations. It is used in industrial chemistry, refining, pollution control, energy, and the valorization of renewable resources.
Characterization
Set of analytical methods used to determine the physicochemical, structural, textural, or morphological properties of a material.
It provides information on composition, structure, specific surface area, porosity, stability, and functional properties. It is essential for understanding material behavior and validating synthesis, modification, or application steps.
Chemometrics
Application of statistical and multivariate methods to chemical data. It extracts quantitative and mechanistic information from complex spectra.
Heterogeneous Catalysis
Catalytic process in which the catalyst and the reactants are in different phases, most commonly a solid catalyst in contact with gaseous or liquid reactants.
The reaction takes place on the surface of the solid, at active sites. This approach is widely used in refining, petrochemistry, pollution control, fine chemistry, and biomass valorization.
In situ
Analysis method performed directly while the material is exposed to conditions close to its real operating environment.
It is used to monitor changes in structure, surface properties, or chemical species during treatment, reaction, or atmosphere change.
IR Spectroscopy
Vibrational method measuring infrared absorption by chemical bonds. It identifies surface groups, adsorbed species and reaction intermediates.
Machine Learning
Set of computational methods that learn relationships from chemical data, such as spectra, molecular structures, material properties or experimental results. It is used to predict properties, classify samples, optimize catalysts and accelerate the analysis of large datasets.
Nanoporous Materials
Solid materials containing pores with nanometric dimensions, generally below a few tens of nanometers.
They exhibit high specific surface area and controlled porosity, making them useful for adsorption, separation, catalysis, gas storage, pollution control, and molecule delivery.
Open science
Set of practices aimed at making research more accessible, transparent and reusable, including open-access publications, shared data, code, protocols and results. It promotes reproducibility, collaboration and wider dissemination of scientific knowledge.
Operando
Analysis method performed while a material or catalyst is operating under real working conditions, while simultaneously monitoring its performance.
It links changes in structure, surface properties, or chemical species to the observed activity, selectivity, or stability.
Python
A simple, readable programming language widely used in science to automate workflows, analyze data, perform numerical calculations and generate plots. It is central to research thanks to libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib and scikit-learn, used for data analysis, modelling, simulation and machine learning.
Reaction kinetics
Study of the rate of chemical reactions and the factors that influence it, such as temperature, pressure, concentration, catalyst or reaction mechanism. It is used to determine rate laws, kinetic constants and rate-limiting steps in a chemical process.
Theragenerative Systems
Biomaterial-based systems combining a therapeutic function with a tissue regeneration function.
They may integrate scaffolds, hydrogels, 3D bioprinting, controlled drug release, or physical stimulation to treat a disease while supporting tissue repair. This approach is mainly explored in tissue engineering, oncology, and regenerative medicine.
XRD
Structural analysis method used to identify the crystalline phases of a material and determine the atomic arrangement within a solid.
It provides information on crystallinity, structure, lattice parameters, and apparent crystallite size. It is widely used to characterize catalysts, oxides, zeolites, powders, and crystalline materials.
