L’hydrodésulfuration (HDS) est un procédé de raffinage qui permet d’éliminer le soufre des carburants par des réactions d’hydrogénation et d’hydrogénolyse. L’élimination des composés soufrés est indispensable afin d’éviter l’empoisonnement des catalyseurs d’autres unités de la raffinerie (reformage, isomérisation) et de la nouvelle génération de pot catalytique.
