Registration deadline: 1st May 2022
Workshop: 27th June – 1st July 2022
SpectroCat 2022, the next edition of the SpectroCat summer school on vibrational spectroscopy applied to catalysis and adsorption, will take place in Caen (France) from June 27 to July 1, 2022. This summer school is organized by the Catalysis and Spectrochemistry Laboratory (LCS, Université de Normandie).
The school will consist of various courses on vibrational spectroscopy, from general principles to specialized lectures on in situ and operando infrared techniques, including cells and apparatus, multi-technique couplings, reactor dynamics and kinetic data collection, data processing and analysis, R&D applications….
The school will also be complemented by hands-on training sessions on in situ and operando experiments using the LCS laboratory’s state-of-the-art equipment and systems (
LCS VISIO platform
)
The5th SPECTROCAT international seminar (SPECTROCAT 2022) was held from June 27 to July 1, 2022 at ENSICAEN and the University of Caen-Normandie (Campus II). Spectrocat 2022 was a great success: 44 participants from outside the laboratory, including 6 engineers from industry (Albemarle, Clariant, Johnson Matthey, Shell, IFPEN), 15 speakers (including 2 from industry). The vast majority of participants came from foreign institutions (90%) in Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Romania), the Near and Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Israel) and the Americas (Chile), reflecting the international dimension of this symposium.
The colloquium provided an opportunity for convivial exchanges, both in the lectures and in the workshops and poster session, and reinforced the Catalysis and Spectrochemistry laboratory’s representativeness in the field of characterization of adsorbent materials and catalysts by vibrational and NMR spectroscopy.
The workshop will be held from June 27 to July 1, 2022, on Campus 2 of the Université de Caen Normandie, close to the LCS facilities.
