Abstract:

The work of this thesis falls within the context of automobile depollution, more precisely in the three-way catalysis (TWC) and the oxygen storage capacity measurements (OSC) of the catalysts used in these reactions. During the project, a study on samples of ceria-zirconia oxides is carried out in infrared in order to determine their OSC. Conventional methods were considered and gave unexpected results. A hypothesis on the crystal structure of the samples explaining these results was proposed and validated during several analyses. In a second step, the development of a informatic tool in Python language called Spectrochempy was carried out in order to be able to establish a kinetic model of the experiments carried out. This model aims to facilitate the analysis of data and to be able to be applied to a large quantity of results.
