Svetlana Mintova, CNRS Research Director, Awarded the Insignia of Chevalier of the National Order of Merit

On September 22 in Caen, Svetlana Mintova, CNRS Research Director at the Laboratoire Catalyse & Spectrochimie (LCS – CNRS, ENSICAEN, University of Caen Normandy), was awarded the insignia of Chevalier of the National Order of Merit.

This national distinction by the President of the French Republic, recognizes her outstanding scientific achievements in the field of zeolites –  microporous materials with wide-ranging applications in catalysis, energy, and environmental technologies. Her pioneering research has already been honored with numerous international awards, highlighting her leading role in advancing the science of functional nanoporous materials.

SM“I am deeply honored to express my gratitude to the President of the French Republic for awarding me the distinction of Knight of the National Order of Merit (Chevalier de l’Ordre national du Mérite). This honor recognizes scientific achievements made possible thanks to the many opportunities that France has given me. I am especially grateful to the CNRS for allowing me to conduct research in such a stimulating environment over the past 19 years.”

This recognition would not have been possible without the continuous support of the LCS, CNRS, ENSICAEN, and the University of Caen Normandy. I also thank the Normandy Region for providing the support and resources that have allowed me to pursue ambitious projects.

I would like to thank the Prefect of Calvados for the memorable ceremony organized on this occasion, and my family, colleagues, and close friends from all over the world for being with me and for their unwavering support and joy throughout the years.”

This honor celebrates Svetlana Mintova’s remarkable scientific contributions reflecting the excellence and international visibility of the Laboratoire Catalyse & Spectrochimie in the field of advanced functional materials.
